Koh Rong Island (កោះរ៉ុង), Cambodia has been called by the name Paradise Island or Maldives in Cambodia.Located in Sihanoukville Province coastal city in southwestern Cambodia and the Gulf of Thailand. It is a large island and not far from Thailand. The original community was a fishing village before many resorts, Guesthouses and 5-star hotels emerged respectively, making Koh Rong more attractive to tourists. Both are still complete with beautiful nature, forests and Crystal white sandy beaches. The atmosphere of the beautiful sky and clear seaside can be experienced at Koh Rong, Cambodia

Traveling from Bangkok - Koh Rong is open for the new route on October 1, 2023 from Bangkok to Koh Rong, Cambodia by Bus and Boat convenient way to travel across the country by Boonsiri High Speed Ferry Company which has experience in providing services for 10 years more than one million ppls for Thais and foreigner tourists 

The trip starts from the check-in point and gets on the bus at Khao San Road, Boonsiri office Soi Tanee Road. They are available once a day only. There is a 44-seat air-conditioned bus with a bathroom available from Bangkok to travel to the border of Trat Province to cross to Cambodia.

On the way from Bangkok to Trat, the bus will stop at the gasoline station before heading to Haad Lek Pier, Boonsiri office to stop for a meal for 20-30 minutes, and then prepare to travel across the border to Cambodia.



The border of Hat Lek is the border of Trat province, across the country from Bangkok to Koh Rong. All tourists traveling to Koh Rong must cross this border


For Thai tourists. Please prepare your passport for tourists from other countries. Please check the conditions for traveling to Cambodia by yourself before traveling. You can inquire at the embassy or immigration before traveling.



The currency in Cambodia used two currencies, Riel and US dollars, suggesting that it would be more convenient to exchange US dollars because most hotels in Cambodia will use US dollars



After you have passed the immigration at checkpoint then walk across to the Cambodian country. There will be a bus from the company Sakorsiri is waiting for. You can check in with the driver to take a bus to Darasakor Pier (Cambodia port) to cross to Koh Rong. It takes around  2 hours from Hat Lek checkpoint and then arrive at Darasakor Pier. The pier that will get you to Koh Rong then change the trip to take a boat to Koh Rong. It takes about 1 hour



Darasakor Pier (Cambodia) is a pier that offers a ferry service from Koh Kong Province to Koh Rong Island, it takes about 1 hour by boat



The boat service is catamaran ferries. There are services available from Darasakor Pier to Koh Rong. It takes about 1 hour.



The boat will drop off tourists at Lototray Pier on Koh Rong Island, and travel from the pier to the resort. The company has a minibus service to deliver to the resort on Koh Rong which is included in the service already. Except for some resorts where you can't drop off by car, please check again.

Activities on Koh Rong such as renting a motorbike to travel around the island, trekking, visiting waterfalls, and kayaking in the mangrove forest but the most popular for tourists is boat trips around $35 per person including resort transfers (please check for service area)

Tourists can board the boat at Koh Touch Pier, the trip starts at 13.00-17.00 hrs.

The boat will take tourists on a snorkeling trip in front of Koh Rong and fishing.
